I first saw your face on a billboard that read “I’m coming to town and I’d like you to join me.” I’d never been saved, so I made the decision to visit the stage you’d put up downtown. I thought I’d be early but the crowd had already surrounded the gate the night before. There was some feedback testing the P.A. but the music erupted in time to begin. And you know what you have done... Words of a prophet. A message that’s not meant to be from you. You praise their truth and claim there’s proof, but only for profit. And so, to you “prophet”... Yes I know what you have done! “Thank you for coming” came over the PA from the mouth of the DJ that introduced you. Everyone there was having a good time awaiting the headline they thought was the truth. You came out slinging your magical punchlines that only made sense to those who approve. From where I was standing your smile condescended and your words told me nothing ‘bout nothing at all. I close my eyes. As I try to breathe I feel your lies suffocate me. I showed up to see you and hear what you’d say and stayed at the end ‘cause I wanted to meet you. If anyone here today was a believer the words they received they’ll hold in their heart. But what were you saying? I couldn’t quite make out the gist of your message between the applause. What I was hearing is not worth repeating, ‘cause what you kept saying was nothing at all. And you know what you have done... Words of a prophet. A message that’s not meant to be from you. You praise their truth and claim there’s proof, but only for profit. And so to you “prophet”... Yes I know what you have done

fAll In I hear what you say, but it’s not what you’re thinking. Is it so hard to say what is true? Secrets, lies, compromise and disregard for human rights. You claim that that’s the game you have to play and it’s alright to start a fight with someone else’s fathers. Because we’re free(?) they should be. Thank you, may I have another? Another one for the youth that you took from me another one for the child that I’ve never seen another one for the life that’ll never be another one for you to hear me… You think you’re what (that you’re what) that you’re better than me? You think what!!!!????!!! Tell us again now, this time without blinking, how you have always spoken the truth. Secret trials? Black Op sites? Helicopters in the night? You say that that’s the price we must all pay! All in? Then fall in. Fall in… NOW!!!!!!! Is it alright to start a fight with someone else’s fathers ‘cause we’re so free they need to be. Thank you sir, may I have another? You think you’re what (that you’re what) that you’re better than me? You think you’re what? But you’re not… and I won’t fall in.

A well made machine of psychic dreams but, what is real and what’s make believe? A flesh that feels…unsynthesized. What would it see looking through your eyes? Ghost of the god from the machine who turned us on and made us bleed? Dystopian savior who runs the blade to retire us all that can’t be saved? Do I belong here? Is my ego designed? Do I belong here? Ghost of a God that can’t be seen feeds us hope, in unicorn dreams that tell us all how the ego’s divine in each paper man that’s left behind. Crossword logic and number lines define our place in space and time. To what purpose are we flawed by design with the weight of the end filling up our minds? I never belonged here…is the ego divine? I never belonged here! What can we know about the Ego? Is it designed or is it divine? There’s nothing so real as the end of illusion. Nothing so real as the end of “Me”. Although I’m embracing the end of confusion there’s, sadly, no end to eternity. What I am feeling inside is an evil that’s easy to hide. What am I, really, inside? The ego, or Ego Divine? The evil is easy to find. It’s in the Ego Divine. I never belonged here! Is my ego divine? I never belonged here? Tears in the rain you cannot see are proof that there’s a soul in me. So many moments, lost in time. Wake up, now, it’s…time…to…die.

Holding Patterns My prison can’t be seen ‘cause it’s a part of me. No doors hold the key to being a better me. Patterns hold me. This puzzle’s incomplete, missing a center piece. I try to deal with this by steeling my mind in a holding pattern. You see, I’m consumed by these moments of stress helplessly needing to do things again. Over and over and over and over. Over and over and over and over again... A pattern holds me. It’s not like want or need, more like I’m on repeat and I can’t do anything until I get this done. I saw you early yesterday and you said that I looked great. It’s not as easy as it seems being what I’m supposed to be. You’re not close enough to see what your words have done to me. I give in. I can’t win. not again, I give in... I can hardly breathe if I don’t count to three. If I miss a beat, I have to start again. Patterns hold me. This prison can’t be seen ‘cause it’s a part of me. A puzzle, incomplete, trying for some peace in patterns. Hold me. You see, I’m confused by these moments of stress hopelessly needing to do things again. Over and over and over and over. Over and over and over and over again.
